WPL 2023, Delhi Capitals Women Full Squad: Complete guide on squad and schedule of Meg Lanning-led DC

Delhi Capitals (DC) will kick off their inaugural Women's Premier League (WPL) edition by taking on Smriti Mandhana-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on March 5 at Brabourne stadium, Mumbai.

Delhi Capitals (DC) will kick off their inaugural Women's Premier League (WPL) edition by taking on Smriti Mandhana-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on March 5 at Brabourne stadium, Mumbai. Four-time T20 World Cup-winning captain Meg Lanning will lead Capitals with India’s top-order Jemimah Rodrigues as her deputy. 
 

Capitals' most expensive buy of the auction was Rodrigues who was picked for Rs 2.2 crore. They went after India's Under-19 T20 World Cup-winning captain Shafali Verma as well and acquired her services for Rs 2 crore. Their most expensive overseas buy turned out to be South Africa's Marizanne Kapp whereas they got Lanning for a fair price of Rs 1.1 crore.
 

They have experienced spinners in the form of Poonam Yadav and Radha Yadav. Shikha Pandey will lead the pace attack whereas Australia's left-arm spinner Jess Jonassen is likely to be their death overs speciallist. The surprise packages in the Capitals squad can be Jammu & Kashmir explosive batter Jasia Akhter, USA's Tara Norris and Under-19 pacer Titas Sadhu.
