Andreas Christensen does not want to leave Barcelona despite growing interest from Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr. The Spanish giants were exploring the possibilities of offloading the centre-back this summer.
Big problem for Barcelona
According to SPORT, Christensen has rejected all offers from clubs that have indicated interest in getting him. He is also looking to stay in the club and honor his contractual agreement.
Barca have been eager to sell some players from the squad to accommodate registration of new signings for the next season. However, Barcelona have struggled to offload those they want to sell, consisting of Christensen.
The defender has struggled to remain injury free in recent times, making only six appearances across all competitions last season due to an injury. On the other hand, the duo of Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez are ahead of him in the selection order.
Barcelona reportedly Christensen would leave the side this summer in search of a fresh start. His sale was also expected to generate funds and reduce the wage bill, considering his salary of €12 million.
But, Christensen is all set to remain at Camp Nou till June 2026, the expiration period of his contract. In 80 matches across all competitions, he registered four goals and three assists for the La Liga giants.
Inaki Williams on Nico Williams' failed move to Barca
Inaki Williams has said that his younger brother Nico Williams has been a victim of a false media campaign after his failed move to Barcelona.
"My brother not joining Barça? Much of what has been said about Nico is a lie... They have carried out a media campaign thinking it would work for them. They have dirtied many things."
The aggressive left-winger was linked with Barcelona this summer. However, the deal collapsed and he recently signed a 10-year contract, potentially keeping him at the Athletic Club till June 2035.
