Former FC Barcelona Forward Hails 17-Year-Old Wonder Kid Lamine Yamal as Blend of Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr

Lamine Yamal: A mixture of Messi and Neymar

After netting a goal against Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final, the 17-year-old revelation came back to put on a sublime performance against Real Betis in the Copa Del Ray round of 16 match. Yamal scored in the 75th minute of the game to make sure his side touches the 5-goal mark for the second time in the last two games.  

Witnessing Yamal delivering a stunner for Hansi Flick, a former Barcelona striker has lavished praise on the forward. Gerard Deulofeu labelled Lamine Yamal as the player who possesses the skills of both Lionel Messi and Brazilian forward Neymar Jr.

FC Barcelona Look Ominous Again

FC Barcelona had an incredible star to the season, but an injury to Lamine Yamal affected their run. The Blaugrana club suffered a significant fall after dominating La Liga in the initial couple of months. However, with a cracking 5-2 victory over Real Madrid, followed by a flawless performance against Real Betis, Flick's side looks settled and having already won the first trophy in the season, that too by beating their arch-rivals, FC Barcelona will target and could win more titles this season, considering the firepower they possess in the side.

Moreover, with a 17-year-old emerging as the leading spark behind FC Barcelona's progress, it would be intriguing to witness what the future has in store for FC Barcelona and Lamine Yamal. FC Barcelona will return to the field on January 19. Their next fixture is in La Liga against Getafe.
