Iga Swiatek was stunned by Elena Rybakina 7-5, 6-1 at the quarterfinals of the first Grand Slam of the year. The Kazakh star bounced back from early serving issues to down the second seed to beat the World No. 2 player and deny Swiatek in her latest bid to win a career Grand Slam.  

Rybakina is in her second Melbourne final, having made it for the first time in 2023, where she was defeated by Aryna Sabalenka in three sets. Meanwhile, Swiatek has six majors in her trophy cabinet. But has she ever won a Grand Slam in Australia? Let us find out.  

Has Iga Swiatek ever won Australian Open? A look at her Grand Slam titles

No!  Iga Swiatek has not yet won a title in Australian Open. The Polish star has won all the other major titles except for the trophy in Melbourne. The highest she has gone at the tournament is the semifinals of the Australian Open twice, once in 2022 amd the other time in 2025. 

Swaitek has four Roland Garros titles, having won in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024. The former World No. 1 WTA player also has one Wimbledon title, which she won in 2025, and a US Open title, which she won in 2022. 

The Polish star made her Grand Slam debut in the French Open 2019, where she reached the quarterfinals of the clay tournament. She won her first major at the same tournament the next year and won the 2020 Roland Garros title, becoming the first player from her country to do so at the age of 19.
