India restrict New Zealand on 251/7

Kuldeep had removed Rachin Ravindra on the opening delivery of the eleventh over. Kuldeep Yadav caught and bowled Williamson and dismissed him for 11 off 14 balls. After 12.2 overs, his wicket left NZ reeling at 75/3. Williamson's wicket put them on the defensive side.

Daryl Mitchell saved the day for New Zealand by playing a knock of 63 runs. He only hit three boundaries in his knock while batting for 101 balls. With 53 off 40 balls, Michael Bracewell was still undefeated. In his knock, the left-handed batsman smashed three boundaries and two sixes. Rachin got off to a fast start earlier in the innings, but he left for 37 off 29 balls. With 52 balls, Glenn Phillips scored 34 runs.

Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy both claimed two wickets. Kuldeep took crucial wickets of Rachin and Williamson, while Varun removed Will Youn and Phillips. Ravindra Jadeja bowled an outstanding 10-0-30-1 spell. Despite not taking a wicket, Axar Patel's 8-over spell just gave 29 runs.

Rohit gives India good start

India has surpassed the 50-run milestone in just 7.2 overs thanks to Rohit Sharma's rapid start in the chase for the target of 252. He joined a massive 105-run opening partnership with Shubman Gill. However, Gill failed to turn his start into a big knock and got out after scoring 31 runs off 50 balls.

Virat Kohli gets out for 1 run

Indian batting maestro who has been in astonishing form failed to perform in the Final as Bracewell removed him for just 1 run. Later Rohit progressed the scoreboard but got out after scoring crucial 76 runs off 83 balls. After him, Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel kept the scoreboard running.

However, both Iyer (48 off 62 balls) and Patel (29 off 40) departed in quick intervals. New Zealand did not fall out of the match as quickly, wickets and constant dot balls kept them in the game.

KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya did the remaining for India as they clinched their third ICC Champions Trophy title. The Men in Blue won the title again for the first time since 2013 and added the 7th ICC trophy to their cabinet. They remained unbeaten throughout the competition.
