As the entire world set their sights on the high-octane clash between the arch-rivals India women and Pakistan women, rain cast doubt on the quintessential clash at the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022 in Edgbaston on Sunday.

Due to drizzle the toss has been delayed for now and if it doesn't happen by 3:30 (IST) and match doesn't start by 4:00 pm (IST) the overs might start reducing.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side suffered a three-wicket defeat against Australia in their opener clash, despite a half-century from the captain.

Meanwhile, even Renuka Thakur's four-wicket haul went in vain as an unbeaten half-century by Ashleigh Gardner secured a victory for the Aussies.

On the other hand, Pakistan also fell to an opening defeat, losing to Barbados by 15 runs. Both sides will be aiming to grab their first wins of the tournament, and will be hoping to get their respective campaigns back on track.

However this is for the fourth time Indian women and Pakistan women are locking horn with each other in the T20Is. Before this, out of 11 encounters, Indian have registered victory in nine occasions and Pakistan could only win two.
