The schedule for the 17th edition of IPL 2024 is set to be announced in phases due to matches coinciding with general elections. IPL chairman Arun Dhumal in January told Sports Tak that initially the first leg of the schedule will be announced. The rest of the schedule will be announced when the dates of the general elections will be revealed.
“We are working on the schedule soon will announce the first leg schedule and later the rest of the dates we are in touch with the government already we had talks and will again have one soon.”
“Since the elections schedule will come later we have to start initial matches so some matches will be announced soon. Once the election schedule is up will accommodate matches accordingly. If you ask me can tell you tentative dates which is 22nd March and the final around 26th May,” he told Sports Tak in January.
