India's batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal faced a dry spell in the first half of the IPL 2024, with only 121 runs in seven games. However, Jaiswal didn't let that leash him. Jaiswal revealed his approach during his patchy form and how he fought through it and overcome it. He focused on the process and seeking guidance from those around him. This dedication paid off in the latter half of the season. Jaiswal impressed with three strong performances – an unbeaten 104, a steady 24, and a powerful 67. And above all Jaiswal was rewarded for his batting blitzes in IPL 2024 and made it to India's T20 World Cup 2024 squad after a lot of speculations around his spot.

"I keep a lot of focus on my process and I try my best in the practice sessions and surround myself with right kind of people and keep working hard," Jaiswal said during a promotional event.

Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal sees the IPL as a crucial training ground for the upcoming T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA. Having earned his spot in the national squad through impressive performances over the past year, Jaiswal acknowledges the IPL's value. He highlights the diverse challenges presented by playing in various IPL venues, mirroring the situations players might encounter in the World Cup. Jaiswal believes the IPL serves as excellent preparation for the mega event, allowing players to refine their skills and gain match fitness before taking the international stage.

"100% I feel that IPL is the right platform (for T20 World Cup) where we can play well and learn a lot and gain a lot of experience, and it's a lot of fun to play the IPL the way it's played in India with the kind of matches we have, they are very challenging in different venues so it's a great experience," Jaiswal told PTI.

"We are going to benefit a lot, we are playing with the same players in the IPL and we know them and we can prepare well for it," he added.
