Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings is going one-on-one against Rajat Patidar's Royal Challengers Bengaluru in match 8 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is taking place at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, on March 28 (Friday). Both teams are coming into this match after winning their first game of the season. RCB beat KKR and CSK defeated MI in their respective campaign openers. Both teams will be eyeing adding another win to their tally. CSK won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Gaikwad's message to his CSK players

The CSK captain talked about the areas his team lagged behind in the previous game and will need to improve in this game. He also announced the surprise return of Matheesha Pathiran. Earlier, during the pre-match press conference, CSK coach Stephen Fleming said not to expect the pacer to be part of the line-up as he is still recovering from the injury.

"Wicket will play slightly better than last game, looking to chase whatever the score is. So far, there has been no dew but you never know when it'll arrive. It's an uncontrollable but we have planned better for it. We were slightly behind in the field, need to improve there. One change: Pathirana comes back for Ellis," sais Ruturaj Gaikwad after winning the toss.

"We wanted to bowl but surface looks hard, wouldn't have made a big difference. It's important to bring out the best every day, want to do that tonight also. Bowling unit showed courage last game after 13 tough overs, that was heartening. Openers showing intent was impressive too. RCB vs CSK is one of the best games because of how fans support both teams. One change: Bhuvi comes in place of Rasikh," said RCB captain Rajat Patidar
