On April 10, KL Rahul single-handedly led Delhi Capitals' (DC) comeback and his unbeaten 93 helped them beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by seven wickets. After the win at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, Rahul said "This is my homeground". His 'Kantara' celebration went viral and many anticipated Virat Kohli may do the same if RCB win at his homeground, the Arun Jaitley Stadium. More than a couple wickets later, Kohli scored a fifty in the run chase but did not stay till the end. After RCB's six-wicket win, Kohli who was in the dugout, walked up to Rahul and teased him with a similar celebration.
However, there was no animosity between the two, contrary to what looked like a heated exchange during the run chase. The former RCB teammates shared a laugh. Rahul pointed to the 'Virat Kohli stand' at the stadium and then they hugged.
Earlier, Rahul had explained why he celebrated in a manner he did at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium.
"This is a special place for me. That celebration was from one of my favourite movies, Kantara. So, ya, just a tiny reminder that this ground, this turf, this home is where I have grown up and that this is mine," the wicketkeeper-batter said after the match.
More than a couple of weeks later, Rahul was troubled by RCB spinners. He scored 41 runs from 39 balls, including three fours. He got out to Bhuvneshwar Kumar in an attempt to clear the long-off.

Kohli on run chase, RCB on top
Kohli anchored the run chase once again. RCB were 26/3 after four overs in the run chase of 163. He shared a match-winning 119-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Krunal Pandya. The all-rounder struggled at first but then took his chances and they paid off. He remained unbeaten for 73 off 47 balls, including five fours and four sixes. In-form Tim David finished the run chase with three fours and a six.
"I try and ensure I don't stop my singles and doubles and combine with the occasional boundary. This year you can't just come out and hit, you have to assess, understand the conditions and then plan accordingly. We have communicated beautifully as a team in the batting and that's the reason we have 7 wins out of 10. It's looking good for us," Kohli on his planning in a run chase.
The win helped RCB rise to the top of the points table. They are yet to lose an away match this season.
