In an internal meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), sources have suggested that the new president of India's apex cricketing body is most likely going to be former India all-rounder and World Cup winner Roger Binny. He might take over the position currently held by Sourav Ganguly, while Jay Shah is touted to stay on as the secretary of the BCCI

Binny previously served as a member of BCCI's selection committee. Binny's name appeared on the BCCI's Draft Electoral Rolls (put up on the BCCI website) for the October 18 elections and the Annual General Meeting as a representative of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) on Thursday instead of KSCA secretary Santosh Menon. All these led to speculation of former seamer being the frontrunner for the post of BCCI President.

As per sources, Sourav Ganguly is likely going to become India's representative for the International Cricket Council Chairman's post.

The nominations can be filled on October 11 and 12, the scrutiny of the nominations will take place on October 13 and the candidates can withdraw their nominations latest by October 14. The elections will be held here on October 18.

Jay Shah might also be India's nominee for the ICC as well. Debojit Sakiya might be instated as the joint secretary.

Meanwhile, top sources told Sports Tak that Rajeev Shukla will continue as the Vice President, and Ashish Sellar is likely to be the new treasurer. The source also added that things can change last minute as well.
