At just 21 and in his third Marsh Cup outing for the Redbacks, Fraser-McGurk's whirlwind innings saw him reach his first 50 runs in only 18 balls – a new benchmark in Australian one-day domestic cricket. Demonstrating unparalleled aggression, he needed only 11 more deliveries to complete his historic century.

Fraser-McGurk's remarkable run included plundering 32 runs off a single over bowled by Tasmania's Sam Rainbird, tying yet another domestic record. However, his fiery knock came to an end at 125 runs from 38 balls, encompassing ten fours and 13 towering sixes.

The day's exceptional performances weren't limited to South Australia. Earlier in the match, Tasmania posted an awe-inspiring total of 9-435 – the highest team score in Australian one-day domestic history. Key contributors included captain Jordan Silk with his debut List A century and opener Caleb Jewell's rapid 90 off 52 balls. This formidable score surpassed the previous record of 7-420, which was set by the Redbacks in 2016.

Despite the impressive start by Tasmania openers Jewell and Jake Weatherald, South Australia's Henry Thornton managed to halt their progress, claiming both their wickets in quick succession. Captain Silk's aggressive innings, clocking a century in just 78 balls, and contributions from Mac Wright and Beau Webster, propelled Tasmania to their record total.

South Australia's bowling saw Wes Agar capturing three crucial late wickets, albeit with an expensive 3-96 in his 10-over quota. Brendan Doggett also chipped in with figures of 3-86.

With a challenging target of 436 runs for victory, South Australia's chase is bound to be a gripping spectacle. As both teams showcased record-breaking performances, this match promises to be etched in cricketing history.
