One of the highlights of Trott’s coaching stint includes Afghanistan's stellar performance in the T20 Asia Cup 2022. This was further complemented by a T20I series victory against Pakistan and an unprecedented ODI series win over Bangladesh, marking significant milestones in the team's cricketing journey.
Furthermore, Afghanistan's commendable showing at the last year's ODI World Cup is another feather in Trott’s cap. The team registered impressive victories against heavyweights like Pakistan, England, Sri Lanka, and the Netherlands, showcasing their growing prowess in international cricket.
Currently, the Afghanistan team is in the United Arab Emirates, participating in a three-match T20I series against the host nation.
