Unwanted record for Cristiano Ronaldo

Across five games in the tournament, the Al-Nassr forward managed to record most shots in an edition of a FIFA World Cup without creating a single chance for a teammate. The 41-year-old forward managed to take 17 shots across the 2026 edition, which is the most by any player without creating a single chance for any teammate.

Despite scoring three goals in five games, Ronaldo failed to guide Portugal reach the final in the FIFA World Cup 2026. Prior to the tournament, Ronaldo confirmed that this was his last appearance in any major competition for the national team.
