Rohit Sharma Injury Updates: After facing a 19 runs loss against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, April 12, Mumbai Indians have received another blow as their experienced opener Rohit Sharma has sustained a hamstring injury.

After the game, MI's Sherfane Rutherford opened up on Rohit Sharma's fitness without revealing key details of the injury, saying it looks like a hamstring issue.
"I am not sure about it. It’s a bit of a hamstring. I am not sure; I was in the dugout, so I can’t really give much information on that," said Rutherford.

Sherfane Rutherford had a great outing against RCB, scoring an unbeaten 71 runs off 31 balls, his stellar knock consisted of nine massive sixes and one four at strike rate of 229.03. Unfortunately, Rutherford could not get much help from the other end as wickets kept falling in regular intervals, but this inning would definitely boost his confidence to perform well in the upcoming games.
